The Bentley interface module runs in the RIM slot of the 3500 frame and is used with M series monitors (3500/40M, 3500/42M, etc.) to continuously collect steady-state and transient waveform data and transmit the data through Ethernet to the main computer software.
The Bentley interface module has standard static data acquisition, but using optional channel enable disks, transient or dynamic data can also be acquired. Compared with previous communication processors, TDI has several other improvements besides integrating the functions of the communication processor into the 3500 frame.

This is an environmentally hardened version of our 330500 Velomitor sensor, designed to meet NEMA 4X and IP65 ratings without the use of a rack. The sensor‘s mounting post studs use pipe threads and do not require the sensor base to be flush with the machine housing. This eliminates the special mounting surface preparation required by other speed sensors and reduces the cost of installation.

The Bentley interface module provides common functions for all frameworks, but is not a component of the critical monitoring channel and does not affect the correct and regular operation of the entire monitoring system. Each frame requires a TDI or RIM. The TDI only occupies one slot in the frame and must be located in the first slot (next to the power module). For triple modular redundancy (TMR) applications, the 3500 system requires a TMR form of TDI.
